Post subject:  Starting on Dwarfs :D
Hey guys, Ive just started collecting some dwarfs.
So far I have some miners and a hero! Slow but steady, isnt that the dwarf way?

Be keen to know any advise you guys can give me when playing them.

Grab the Battalion box its always a good way to start off. Best place to go for advice is bugmans brewery lots of stuff on there about Dwarf tactics etc.

Not wanting to rip into them straight away, just buying cheap stuff off trademe atm. But I will be buying battalion when I get the chance.

Look into the Battle for Skull Pass box set too. Its a nice cheap way to build your numbers a little, especially if you can go in halfs with an O&G player.

There seem to be a lot of them on trademe (like your ebay) but im not too sure.
Are they different to normal released models?

Yeah a little. They are one piece for the most part. I've picked up two boxes just for the extra models, I just mix them in with the rest of my models. Here are a few examples of what comes in the box:

Cannon & Crew from BfSP

I'm selling a lot of my Dwarfs on Trade Me at the moment Konrad - just look for auctions listed by tolpuddle - 30 x Standard Dwarf Warriors, 36 x BFSP Warriors, 16 x Old Edition Warriors and some mixed stuff.

I'm cutting down on my collections to concentrate on building tournament armies, so dont need so many points anymore.

1 x Units of Troll Slayers

1 x Units of IronBreakers
4 x Units of Miners

2 x Organ guns

Keep an eye out on the painting section of forum cos Ill be posting some guys I paint there when they are done :)
