Getting ready for my 3rd ever WHFB tournament in 2-3 weeks time, taking pretty much the same 2250 Dwarf army i had at the last one but with a couple of minor modifications. Ill post updates and results etc on here as soon as I can

Officially submitted army list was

Lord 285pts
Shieldbearers, RO Resistance, RO Stone, MR Flight, RO Cleaving, RO Fire, Ro Warding, RO Furnace

1+ rerollable AS, immune to fire (inc. Lore of Metal), MR 1, Weapon strikes at S5 Flaming attacks, and can be used in shooting phase out to 12" - pick a target and its autohit.

Runesmith 137pts
RO Spellbreaking x2, Ro Furnace, RO Stone, RO Fire

Standard set up, RO Furnace & RO Stone are pretty much mandatory, RO Fire gives him magical weapon for Regen and Ethereal enemy.

Thane 140pts
BSB, MR Grungi

Slight change here, Going with MR Grungi for 5+ WS from missles, rather than protecting him with MR Gromil etc

Thane 127pts
RO Stone, RO Cleaving, RO Fire, RO Fury, RO Furnace

MR Gromil might have been better here but points wouldnt fit. This thane has been brought in to replace my Gryocopter and bolster my key infantry units.

Longbeards x24 363pts
FC, Shields, RO Battle, RO Stoicism

No change here

Warriors x10 95pts
Musician, Shields

Addition allowed due to dropping of Gyrocopter and some minor Runic changes. Gives me a bit of tactical flexibility.

No change for these 2 units either. They are the best Dwarf unit IMO - 12pts for a WS 5 S4 or S6 model with HA and Shield who is Stubborn. Similar armed and equipped Longbeard would cost you 13pts.

No change here except Gyrocopter is gone

TOTAL 2,250pts (31% Hero, 31% Core, 33% Special, 5% Rare)

I will probably get pinged on Compo score for % of Core vs. Special, but given that my Lord isnt as choppy choppy as he could be I might be OK especially as Composition format is different for this tournament.
