I stumbled across these models just a minute ago and thought you might be interested in them. Hope it helps.

Brilliant !

Thanks Guardian. I'll get in touch with the makers and see if I can use some of their pics. These boys really fit the bill. Nice one, thanks again.

I found a possible Lobstrosity model today, posted in the Nautican News section:-

http://naut1.blogspot.com/search/label/%20Nautican%20News%20

It's a bit rough around the edges but it's very unique.

I like the Deep Ones, they might come in suitable as Deep Divers given that they look "skirmishy", or should I say "skir-fishy" ;)

I'm glad that the models will be of some use to you. I'm looking forward to seeing how your army finally comes together in the end.

I'm thinking really hard about picking up a few of the giant crabs to use as mounts for my Troglagob army.

Cthulu priests.... ....

Anyways, Sigmar, sorry I haven't been payin' attention to yer Nautican army.

IF you would like to, I want/can try the play test the army out...

And another thing, the lobstery model infront, looks pretty good, but definitely need some modelling work, because even with the sea-like paint work, it just wouldn't look exactly convincing...

(Ex. Such as the stomach carapaces, tail, the teeth)

I know what you mean about the lobstrosity model, beggars can't be choosers though so I'll probably just have to go with what I can find. I might even have to tweak some rules to fit the models in if base sizes are not what I was planning.

f you can spare some time to playtest I'd appreciate it. Definitely worth some karma in my book ;)

The guy with the site has mentioned on another forum that he is willing to take requests for other models. Maybe you could try writing and see if you cant work out something for the things you want/need?

Thanks Guardian, now that really would be cool. I'll get in touch.

I really need to fix in my mind what the Nauticans are like. I have made them a composite army becaue originally I was expecting to have to use Lizardmen, Skinks etc and whatever else I would find (I actually found more aternatives than I was expecting).

Having a custom build army really would be good ! The trick will be persuading them to design an army without actually parting with any money. Hmmm... this could be a toughie.

I'd be prepared to pay for a full army but I'll need to raise the Nautican profile to make it worth their while. I'll mail them to see what they say.

Well, it seems to me that he is trying to build a "Fishmen" army. If you can find which units you both would want in your armies, it would go a long way towards talking him into making them. It should be interesting to see if/how both of your armies will evolve if you start tossing some ideas back and forth.

I've just mailed him, let's see what he comes back with...

"Hi there,

I have been working on a project to create a sea based army for use in Warhammer Fantasy Battle games. I'm particularly interested in having some models custom built, is that the sort of thing that can be arranged ?

Here's my site to give you a feel for what I have in mind... http://naut1.blogspot.com

It's getting quite popular so I think there could be a market for a new unofficial army if I can get the profiles just right and some nice supporting models.

Please let me know what you think.

All the best and Happy New Year,
Sigmar"

I hope it all works out for you, it would be great if you could get a consistant style of model for your army. Maybe if you get enough models made you could arrange for an "Army Box" for your Nautican army (That would be REALLY cool). I think once you get the army/model list down I'll have to consider building my own Nautican army.

This really is alot of effort you've been putting in here, Sigmar.

I hope things work out for you well, and well... I'll be getting my gribbly mitts on some of the rules and start to see how this rolls out...

I'll be participating in a modelling forum tomorrow with, hopefully, some guys who design the models.

I'll let you know how it goes.
