The whole fire and weather comments makes me think, . . . . my river and pond terrain pieces should count for something, right? :wink:

I got them from a site called FRP Games. They have a staggering ammount of terrain (And other stuff) available. Its worth a look.

Here is the set I started my river with: http://www.frpgames.com/new/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=30845

yeah they look good. theyd add nicely to the table. Yeah but seriously weather and water rules would be sweet. Shake it up a bit.

I actually picked up the river and pond stuff largely becuase of the Lizardmen's "Aquatic" rule. No one argues with me using that kind of terrain, and it goes a long way towards aiding some of my strategies.

Weather rules would be pretty easy to do. I think it would be kind of fun if GW made some official weather rules then made them optional. Here's a quick idea:

D6
1-2 Sunny
3-4 Overcast
5 Light Snow/Light Rain/Light Sandstorm (As appropriate depending on armies/terrain/etc)
6 Heavy Snow/Heavy Rain/Heavy Sandstorm (As appropriate depending on armies/terrain/etc)

Snow = Movement restrictions
Rain = Fire/Gunpowder limitations
Sandstorm = Range/Visibility restrictions

I think you saw that pretty much everyone thinks it is at worst well-balanced. The WE need something to deal with high T and high armor save guys since they are so fragile themselves. Being able to have a S4 weapon from 15" in when Dwarfs have the same ability from 24" in...except theirs is armor piercing...seems to make it pretty clear they are not over powered.

But we're Dwarves, we are supposed to have good artillery and guns!
