Whats your favorite unit and character in the bretonnian army?
And whats good and bad with the unit and character.
I like KOTR because they aren't to expencive and have a good charge but if they are in close combat to long they can easly get killed.
My favorite character is TGK,he is not a so expencive character and is good in combat but he easly get killed if he attacks a to big unit.
So whats your choice?

I don't play Bretonnian's, but I use some of the models.

Mounted Yeoman are probably my favorite unit, because they look like poor knights/ civilian's emulating knights.
{I don't have any, but I want to get some.}

Repanse De Lyonesse is my favorite character, because she's the only female knight model GW had.
{I'm going to get one eventually.}

I don't know anything about their stats/rules or flaws so this is purely model/ appearance wise.

I'd also go for the Green Knight. I remember doing a brief write up on him for my blog and thought he must be fun to field. If I remember rightly he can come back from the dead and is difficult to kill due to his ethereal rule.

I've just hunted down my write up and it's a bit brief but if you're interested it's here:-

The Green Knight is nice, but he's not all that and a bag of chips. The downside to his ethereal status is he can't join units, he's not US5, etc. etc. etc. In other words, while he can be deadly to some units, he can be kept at bay by a heavy rank and file unit. With all his downsides though, he's still the best Breton character in the current book. Of course, the Bret book was one of the first in the less-than-appealing special character edition that was last edition.

I'm really interested in what they're going to do to the special characters in the next book. I'd like to see a change to Leoun to make him not suck. He's just so contradictory. The things you need to be able to afford him are the things he makes not work in army comp. You need the cheap peasantry to balance his points cost, but he moves them to special and rare. A real pain in the tuckuss.

A strange rule really, I'd expect the nobility to have countless numbers of peasants to call upon.

I don't think the next Bretonnian book will be out before the 8th Edition rulebook. I could be wrong but I'm sure I read it somewhere in a rumour forum.

Sigmar, I'm pretty sure you are correct. We're stuck with seventh edition for a time. I have two brettonian armies, in one i use Louen and in the other I use the green knight. Both can be incredibly effective especially in unison with good solid charges. Both can flank units easily and really draw out the worst in peoples armies if one's opponents aren't careful.

It may seem like a curse to move peasantry to special but being able to field several grail knight units and knight of the realm units, you could make an entire army without any peasants at all. If used correctly, a giant brettonian hammer like that could move across the battle field unchecked (and has in my experience). Brettonians lance formation, charges and characters (not to mention their saves) are bad enough, but two units of archers more than makes up for the loss of points on Louen. Three units or archers is my ideal. Skirmish two and run them on the flanks of the army to hold off enemy bowman. One rank and file unit in the middle of the army to hit enemies before the charges finds its home deep in the internal organs of the enemy.

Two grail knights in the center and two knights of the realm near the flanks. Four beastly knightly units with plenty of protection from projectiles and flanking capabilities. Its a mean army to mess with.

To answer the previous question, Grail knights and the green knight are my favs,

thanks!
